WIN has experience in supporting a variety of non-profit agencies, educational institutions, businesses and government organizations with services that include; research and feasibility studies, strategy development, program management and the implementation of specific workforce development initiatives.
While the domain and topics covered by this work varies according to the needs of the organization, WIN has developed a particular center of excellence and business focus working in projects that impact economic development through the creation of workforce development programs. Some more recent examples of our work in this field include:
- North Central Workforce Investment Board: Incumbent Health Care Worker Career Ladder Pilot: WIN, LLC has recently completed a multi-year pilot project to demonstrate the applicability and feasibility of creating regional workforce educational partnerships in rural north central Pennsylvania to address the need for a more affordable and accessible system of education and training. This collaborative project of the regional workforce investment board, the University of Pittsburgh, Lock Haven University and South Hills School of Business directly addressed the need to move incumbent workforce into coding, billing and related occupations within the Dubois Regional Health System and Elk Health System hospitals. This project was designed, executed and managed by WIN under contract with the North Central Workforce Investment Board.
- New Century Careers: WIN, LLC is directly responsible for the creation and deployment of this regional workforce training initiative in high demand occupations for welding, machining and other advanced training in manufacturing. This national benchmark "Jobs For the Future" award winning organization is directly managed by WIN, LLC. WIN provides strategic development, fundraising, career path development and operations management services to NCC and its partnering organizations.
- Customer Service Supply Chain: WIN, LLC provides project management and strategic development services to this collaborative project of Dollar Energy Fund and Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh. This project seeks to serve economically disadvantaged individuals by providing career ladder opportunities and related training in customer service industries in southwestern Pennsylvania.
